Admission Procedure
Admission Requirements and Curriculum
Applicants MUST:
- Students must submit an application to 糖心视频 before submitting a Dental Assisting application.
- Meet all the general admission requirements of 糖心视频.
- Completed or eligible to register for ENG 101 according to 糖心视频 prerequisites for ENG 101 outlined in the 糖心视频 catalog.
- Possess an ACT score of at least 16
- Possess a 2.3 grade point average on a 4.0 scale
- Submit a Dental Assisting Program application to the Dental Assisting Program Director by June 1.
Selection and Notification:
- The Dental Assisting Program admits 24 students each Fall semester
- The selection process involves the applicant鈥檚 overall college GPA and ACT.
- In the event of a tie of ranking score, in order to fill all available seats, the following criteria will be used as the tiebreaker to determine student acceptance into the program: completion of all program general education courses, cumulative GPA, ACT Math subset score, and date application was received.
- Students must respond to the Microsoft Forms link, confirming their intent to enroll, within the time frame in their acceptance letter via email. A student who fails to respond to the Microsoft Forms link will result in forfeiture of their place in the class.
- Students accepted must attend a mandatory orientation session. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of their place in the class.
- Upon acceptance into the program students must submit a physical examination form (current within one year), which includes documentation of immunizations along with evidence of having begun the Hepatitis B vaccinations. Proof of current certification in BLS for Health Care Providers must be presented by the first day of class. Only courses from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross are acceptable. Online CPR courses are not acceptable. Current CPR certification must be maintained throughout the program.
- Proof of health insurance must be presented the first day of class and maintained throughout the program.
