Hotel and Restaurant Management

Whether your goal is to manage a restaurant, pursue a culinary-focused career, or lead within a hospitality organization, the Hotel and Restaurant Management Program at 糖心视频 equips you with the knowledge, skills, and experience needed to succeed in today鈥檚 hospitality industry.

The 糖心视频 Hotel and Restaurant Management Program prepares students to excel in the fast-paced and guest-focused hospitality industry by combining hands-on learning with professional skill development. Designed for those interested in lodging, tourism, and service leadership, the program offers flexible credential options including an Associate in Applied Science degree, industry certifications, and short-term certificates that support both immediate employment and career advancement.

Students gain real-world experience in hotel operations, customer service, lodging and food service standards, and event coordination while building essential skills such as communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and time management. With an emphasis on professionalism, adaptability, and service excellence, graduates are well equipped for entry- to mid-level roles such as front desk agent, guest services representative, or hospitality supervisor, and are prepared to grow into management positions across hotels, resorts, events, and tourism-related fields.

As of May 2024, the median annual wage was $68,130 for lodging managers and $65,310 for food service managers, with employment for food service managers projected to grow by 6 percent from 2024 to 2034鈥攆aster than the average for all occupations鈥攚hile employment for lodging managers is expected to grow by 3 percent over the same period, about as fast as average. On average, about 42,000 openings for food service managers and 5,400 openings for lodging managers are projected each year throughout the decade, largely due to the need to replace workers who transfer to other occupations or leave the labor force, such as through retirement. (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics)

Students will receive broad exposure to numerous elements of the industry including Hospitality Management techniques, industry standards of hotels, restaurants, cruise lines, event coordination, cost control, and healthy cooking techniques. Students will be expected to spend extended periods on their feet and will need to be able to lift at least 25 pounds.
