ÌÇÐÄÊÓÆµ Women Surge Past Pellissippi State, 97–32

HANCEVILLE, Ala. — ÌÇÐÄÊÓÆµ women's basketball closed out the pre-holiday portion of its schedule in dominant fashion Friday afternoon, rolling to a 97–32 victory over Pellissippi State.

The Lions weathered an early sluggish start, leading just 9–8 with 4:33 remaining in the first quarter before a timeout by head coach Joseph Simmons sparked a dramatic shift in momentum. From that point forward, ÌÇÐÄÊÓÆµ took complete control, outscoring the Panthers 38–7 over the remainder of the first half to build a commanding 47–15 halftime lead.

ÌÇÐÄÊÓÆµ stayed hot coming out of the break, opening the third quarter on a 17–3 run to stretch the lead to 64–18. The Lions continued to pile on, carrying a 76–25 advantage into the final period before closing the game with a 21–7 fourth quarter to secure the 65-point win.

Balanced scoring highlighted the performance, with five Lions finishing in double figures. ,  and  each scored 13 points. Mercer added two steals and a block, while Smith contributed five rebounds, two assists and two steals.  finished with 12 points and eight rebounds, and  added 11 points, two rebounds, two assists and a steal.

 posted an all-around stat line with 11 points, seven rebounds, five assists and four steals. Chloe Wynn scored six points with four rebounds, Hannah Tetro added six points and two steals, and Peterson chipped in five points and two rebounds.  rounded out the scoring with two points, six rebounds and two steals.

The victory sends ÌÇÐÄÊÓÆµ into the Christmas break on a high note. The Lions return to action on January 3 with a road trip to Motlow State.
