ÌÇÐÄÊÓÆµ Women Clamp Down Defensively in 63–38 Road Win at Northeast Mississippi

BOONEVILLE, Miss. — ÌÇÐÄÊÓÆµ women's basketball used another dominant defensive performance Tuesday night to pull away for a 63–38 road victory over Northeast Mississippi.

After a slow start that saw the Lions trail 18–15 late in the first quarter, Wallace State quickly seized control early in the second period. The Lions opened the quarter on a 7–0 run and carried that momentum into halftime, taking a 32–24 lead into the break.

Defense continued to set the tone after halftime. ÌÇÐÄÊÓÆµ held Northeast Mississippi to just five points in the third quarter, extending the lead to 49–29 heading into the final period and never allowing the home team to mount a comeback.

 led the Lions with 14 points, six rebounds, four assists and a block.  followed with 12 points, six rebounds, six assists and a steal, while  added nine points and four assists.

 finished with eight points, two rebounds and three assists.  contributed seven points, four rebounds and a block, while  added six points, five rebounds and a block.  provided a strong effort on the glass with eight rebounds to go along with five points, two assists and two steals. Hannah Tetro chipped in two points and an assist.

With the win, ÌÇÐÄÊÓÆµ continued its strong stretch of play, relying on balanced scoring and suffocating defense to control the game from the second quarter on.
