Late Rally Falls Short as ÌÇÐÄÊÓÆµ Men Drop 82–78 Decision at Northeast Mississippi
BOONEVILLE, Miss. — ÌÇÐÄÊÓÆµ men's basketball came up just short Tuesday night, falling 82–78 on the road at Northeast Mississippi after erasing most of a double-digit second-half deficit.
The Lions controlled much of the opening half and carried a 39–37 lead into halftime. Momentum shifted early in the second half, however, as Northeast Mississippi dominated play over the first 12 minutes after the break, building a commanding 73–55 advantage.
ÌÇÐÄÊÓÆµ responded with a furious rally, outscoring the Tigers 22–5 down the stretch to make it a one-point game. The Lions cut the deficit to 78–77 during the final minute, but Northeast Mississippi closed out the contest at the free-throw line to secure the four-point victory.
led all scorers with 24 points to go along with seven rebounds, five assists and a steal. added 14 points, three rebounds, three assists and two steals. Zay Madden chipped in 12 points and eight rebounds, while finished with nine points, four rebounds and an assist.

Daniel Rush rounded out the scoring with one point and a block.
Despite the loss, ÌÇÐÄÊÓÆµ showed resilience by battling back late after facing a sizable deficit in the second half.
