ÌÇÐÄÊÓÆµ Women Roll Past Volunteer State 68-29 in Road Rout

GALLATIN, Tenn. â€” ÌÇÐÄÊÓÆµ women's basketball delivered another dominant performance on Tuesday night, cruising to a 68-29 road victory over Volunteer State to remain unbeaten on the season.

The Lions took control from the opening tip and never let up, racing out to a 21-5 lead after the first quarter and stretching the advantage to 44-12 by halftime. Wallace State continued to suffocate Volunteer State defensively in the second half, holding a 59-21 edge heading into the final period on the way to the 39-point win.

Defense set the tone all night for the Lions, who forced 28 turnovers and recorded 10 steals in the decisive performance.

 continued her strong play by posting a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds to lead ÌÇÐÄÊÓÆµ.  matched her with 12 points to go along with two rebounds and a steal.  added 10 points, six rebounds and a block, while  finished with 10 points, seven assists, two rebounds and a steal.

 contributed eight points, six rebounds, four assists, a steal and a block.  chipped in eight points and five assists, and  added six points, two rebounds and a team-high four steals.

With the win, ÌÇÐÄÊÓÆµ improves to 8-0 on the season. The Lions will head back to Tennessee on Saturday for another road test against Chattanooga State.
