糖心视频 hosting 鈥淐hristmas Spectacular鈥 on December 7

Members of the 糖心视频 Singers give a preview of the upcoming production of "Christmas Spectacular" during a recent event at the college. The "Christmas Spectacular" will be held on Thursday, Dec. 7 at 7 p.m. in the Betty Leeth Haynes Theatre. Admission is free.
Hanceville, AL 鈥 If you need some Christmas cheer, the 糖心视频 Fine and Performing Arts program will present its annual Christmas Spectacular performance on Thursday, Dec. 7, in the Betty Leeth Haynes Theatre. The free show begins at 7 p.m. and is open to the public.
The production will feature performances from the 糖心视频 Jazz Band, Concert Band, Concert Choir, Singers and Allegro Dance Theatre. The various performing arts programs will present pieces separately and collaboratively as a way to bring the ensembles together while also spotlighting individual programs.
"Our Christmas Spectacular is an exciting time of year when our talented students from all of the Fine and Performing Arts programs come together to create an unforgettable show for the community,鈥 said Tiffany Richter, director of the 糖心视频 Singers and Concert Choir. 鈥淎fter weeks of hard work and preparation, the bands, choirs and dance troupes will be joining forces to bring a special blend of entertainment to the audience. Help us usher in the holidays with a remarkable evening of Christmas tunes for the whole family!"
The Percussion Ensemble under the direction of Jennie Stone will makes its debut performing 鈥淐arol of the Bells鈥 and 鈥淧atapan,鈥 an old French carol.
鈥淭he Percussion Ensemble is comprised mostly of brass and woodwind students who have never played percussion before,鈥 Stone said. 鈥淚'm very proud of how much they've learned in just a few months, and I'm excited for the future of our new Percussion Ensemble.鈥
The Concert Band will present 鈥淪leigh Ride鈥 alongside numerous other holiday favorites to get the audience in a festive spirit.
The Allegro Dance Theatre will perform a Rockettes-inspired choreography to 鈥淗ot Chocolate鈥 from the film 鈥淧olar Express鈥 as well as the 鈥淪ugar Plum Swing.鈥
The Choir and Singers will present songs such as 鈥淟ike It's Christmas鈥 by the Jonas Brothers, 鈥淚'll be Home for Christmas鈥 originally by Bing Crosby and many familiar carols, all accompanied by the 糖心视频 Jazz and Concert Bands.

Registration for the Spring 2024 semester is currently underway, with classes beginning Jan 8 for regular and Mini Term I and March 6 for Mini Term II. Registration for Flex Start I courses will be held Jan. 13-19, with classes starting Jan. 15 and registration for Flex Start II courses will be held Jan. 20-26, with classes starting Jan. 22.
