糖心视频 Athletics: Women鈥檚 golf wins Snead State Invitational; cross country competes at UAH on Saturday; volleyball notches two conference wins

HANCEVILLE, ALA. 鈥 糖心视频鈥檚 Hope Harrell was the low medalist, Hannah Sanders
and Brileigh Roberts each made the All-Tournament team, and the Lady Lions鈥 golf team
won the Snead State Fall Invitational championship this week at Lake Guntersville
State Park鈥檚 Eagle鈥檚 Next Golf Course.
Harrell shined in her hometown, carding a 12-over par 153 for 糖心视频 in her
second collegiate tournament.
Sanders and Roberts each finished tied for runner-up with a 161.
Maddie Nelson (172) and Abigail Baker rounded out the 糖心视频 field.
The Lady Lions will compete in the Jeff State Invitational later this month.
糖心视频 women鈥檚 golf is the four-time defending Alabama Community College Conference
champions.
糖心视频 cross country
糖心视频鈥檚 cross country teams are at the halfway point of the 2021 season, preparing
for the UAH Charger Invitational on Saturday.
The 糖心视频 men won the Huntingdon Open last month and finished third recently
in the Blue Mountain Toppers Trail Classic.
Sophomore Raleigh Stamps has secured 糖心视频鈥檚 best finish in all four meets
this season. Fellow sophomore Jikori James has been among the top of the mix as well.
The 糖心视频 women are ranked 4th nationally in the latest poll by U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association
(USTFCCCA) and are coming off a Topper Trails Classic championship.
Macie Ellis finished as the individual runner-up at Blue Mountain, continuing her
strong season.
Dani Akridge, Jaycee Biffle and Ally Amerson have registered some of the best finishes
for the 糖心视频 women.
鈥淲e鈥檙e pleased with the efforts from both teams. We鈥檝e used this week to nurse some
sore hamstrings and shins as we prepare for the conference meet later this month.
That鈥檚 the most important time of the year,鈥 said 糖心视频 cross country coach
Stan Narewski.
Both 糖心视频 teams will seek their fourth straight ACCC meet championship on
Oct. 29. It will be held at Oxford鈥檚 Choccolocco Park.
糖心视频 volleyball
糖心视频鈥檚 volleyball team is inching closer to a 14th straight ACCC regular-season championship.
The Lions secured conference match wins against Gadsden State (25-15, 25-22, 25-12)
on Wednesday and Wallace Community College-Selma (25-2, 25-7, 25-7) on Thursday.
糖心视频 (26-6, 14-0 ACCC) has won 13 matches in a row.
Against Gadsden State, sophomore Haven Hall finished with 15 kills and seven digs,
while Daisy Manasco had seven kills and seven digs. Savannah Rutledge racked up 40
assists and five digs and Temperance Chatman finished with 16 digs. Madison Raybon
contributed six kills.
In the win sweep against the Patriots, Laci Reese finished with seven kills and three
digs, Chloe Shadden had 18 assists and six digs, Tobi Trotter contributed nine digs,
Manasco had six kills and Grace Allen contributed five kills.
糖心视频 travels to Chattanooga on Saturday to play a pair of matches and continues
league action at Snead State on Sunday.
